Echinacea 'Raspberry Truffle' - PPAF, PBRAF
Soft red, double flowers on dark brown stems.
Early July the first petals of the dark flower buds show their soft red color.
The center of the flowers remain dark until the flowers have entirely developed. The firm flowers are fairly horizontal.
With the distinctly dark stems and the dark flower buds the plant is ornamental already before flowering. The maximum height is 32".
Although the plant habit looks very much like E. purpurea, 'Raspberry Truffle' must be called a hybrid, because another species has been used too.
