A very floriferous sterile hybrid with large lilac/purple flowers.

'Viking' is a sterile hybrid, so no seed is produced that can be spread around in the garden.

The flowers grow in clusters on the short stems, which only reach a height of 35 cm (14''). Flowering peaks in June and when the flowers are spent, the stems can be cut.

At the end of the season, new rosettes will be developed close to the base of the plant. After winter, in spring new blooming stems will grow out of these rosettes.
