Echinacea 'Southern Belle' - PPAF, PBRAF

Echinacea 'Southern Belle' - PPAF, PBRAF

The first Echinacea tennesseensis with double flowers.

'Southern Belle' is a hybrid with many characteristics of Echinacea tennesseensis. It flowers as one of the first Echinaceas, already in late June and continues to flourish in October as the latest cultivars begin to lose their color. This variety is about 100 cm tall and has small leaves. It's very floriferous and long flowering, because the stems are branching strongly. 'Southern Belle' is very hardy. The double flowers are very attractive with a beautiful, deep pink color.

Echinacea tennesseensis is an extremely endangered species; in nature only in a few locations to find, all in the southern state of Tennessee.
