Echinacea 'Strawberry Shortcake' - PPAF, PBRAF
The First double Echinacea with two-tone flowers.
A splendid example to which a cross with different species can lead is 'Strawberry Shortcake'. The bottom ray flowers are cream-white; the young petals of the cone flowers are also cream-white, but change into dark rose as they develop.
The flowers stand on strong stems, up to 32" tall and can very well be used as cut flowers.
From mid-June to August the flowers can be admired.
